![]() Our experience with hotel Maestral was the best ever. You may also enjoy a glass of Croatian wine on the terrace of the hotel, looking at the sea which on a calm day resembles a huge aquarium. Once you get there, you must try the traditional Croatian specialties, the soups, the traditional ham and cheese. Everyone is friendly and will make you feel among friends. One of the special charms of this hotel is the personnel. ![]() The hotel is simple but very tastefully furnished, IKEA style. With it's stone walls and wooden shutters, hotel Maestral blends perfectly in the island environment. Prvic Luka is strategically positioned between Vodice and Sibenik, two beautiful cities that have a lot to offer, but the island in itself is a perfect place for spending some days away from stress and from traffic, as there are no cars on the island. Situated on the peaceful island of Prvic Luka, this hotel is like a little gem waiting to be discovered. There are literally a handful of other restaurants on the island, but as they all serve quite similar food and have equally beautiful views, they just make for variety or to save a few pounds. Prvic Luka, 22233 Prvi Luka, Croatia Excellent location show map. The service is generous and extremely friendly - anything you want, just ask - and the food was absolutely delicious (easily the best on the island), especially enjoyed on the lovely terrace where you can watch the (very unbusy) world go by. There is just one hotel on the island, Hotel Maestral in Prvi Luka. ![]() It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for - rooms aren't massive but still extremely comfortable, very clean, modern and stylish, with amazing views (ask to face the harbour!), lovely bathrooms and wi-fi (at least in reception, if it doesn't quite reach your room). Prvi is a small island in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea. If you enjoy whiling away the hours sunbathing, reading, eating, drinking, strolling off to find secluded beaches, canoeing off to neighbouring islands and completely avoiding the crowds, then this is as near to perfect as you'll find in Eastern Europe IMO. See the museum to and find the ancestral home of the local favorite son.I was travelling through Croatia with my girlfriend and we wanted to find a quiet spot for a few days of quiet relaxation in a beautiful spot - ! Prvic Luka itself is an extremely peaceful island with no cars allowed, just a few boats arriving every once in a while and locals bringing in the fishing catches making up half the people you'll encounter. hike around the island and up to its highest point - explore, you can't get lost. There is a good pizza place across the harbor fro the hotel. The Value for the money was acceptable Go on the ferry to the other islands, work out a schedule, it is a challenge, but possible to do two day trips on the ferry - one to Zlarin (trek to and climb to the top of the fire tower, late breakfast in the cafe by the port), and one to Vodice (nothing here but a gelato on the harbour front). The View from my room was fabulous The all important WIFI in the room did not function because of the historic two foot thick walls (!), but I usually do that in the lobby as it is always better there, and out on the terrace. The church bell didn't bother me as i kept the window shut. ![]() The room was quiet - NO barking dogs, no loud late strollers in the street, no trash collectors in the early am. The bed was comfortable, there was a TV which I never watched. The Room was large and kind of Spartan, but I had a corner room which was filled with light and very cheerful - with stone walls and polished hardwood floors - VERY nice. There was no elevator to my room, my room was only two flights up - to the top floor. Boutique hotel with Restaurant Val & Caffe bar Faust set by the sea on a car-free. The Lobby was really the waterside terrace, and the front desk open 8am til late. Hotel Maestral, Prvic Luka, Prvic Luka, ibensko-Kninska, Croatia. The Restaurant in the hotel was terrific. The Breakfast buffet was very good with special orders offered. Cleanliness was perfect in my room, bathroom, and public areas. Philip Horvat, the owner is always there and a great host. As I am often a solo traveler, I like to chat with the desk personnel at these boutique hotels to have some local contact and sociability - the staff here were a delight. Staff, universally English speaking, were very friendly and very helpful with all my endless needs and questions. The Location was perfect, right on the harbor with views of the sea and island and yachts in a a safe neighborhood. This is a boutique hotel and overall I HIGHLY recommend it. Clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient, friendly are my criteria, but I am a big fan of “olde worlde charme”. I am an elderly experienced world traveler, picky but not overly so, who does much research on accommodations before I travel, and am therefore usually pleased with where I end up.
